Who wants to go to a pumpkin patch? 2007/09/23 19:02 Karma: 6
I wanna play in a pumpkin patch in the next few weeks. Who's coming? I think I'm gonna look for something we can go to on a Sunday or Saturday (but I have to be back in time for my show). If any one has suggestions of places to go...I'm not looking for Knotts Berry I want a dried corn husk field, hay ride, apples, and fields with pumpkins I can pick myself.

Well, the only tromp trough the pumpkin field type patch I can find so far is this one and it's about an hour north from THE NEXT STAGE. And it says nothing about hayrides though I can email them.

JL Farms Pumkin Patch - melons, pumpkin patch-pick in the field 7651 E Avenue U, littlerock, CA 93543. Email us at: Jlfarms@sbcglobal.net. And for a map to our farm, click here. Crops are usually available in October. Open: Saturday 9am to 5pm Sunday 9am to 4pm

Otherwise I have found a few places that have the whole pre-gathered pumpkins and hayrides that are 30 min north or south of THE NEXT STAGE. I think I may go for the one on PCH that is south of the Hollywood stage so it's more like meeting half way for both stages.

Man, that one looks great! But it's 96 minutes - 4 hours in traffic (google maps) for the Hollywood people...BUT! that's a great site and I see there are more pumpkin patches listed. So I will check it out.

Thanks for the suggestion.

How do the Anaheim people feel about this one?

It's 45-2 hours in bad traffic for you.

It looks good to me. The other one in Temecula that I posted about is a drive for me too. But in Temecula you have wineries and wine tasting for those so inclined. Myself I prefer beer so Mission Hills is fine let’s pick a date

One more thing:
On the one in Mission Hills take a look here http://www.fornerisfarms.com/harvestfestival.html

I'm thinking either the 14th or the 21st we would try to get there around 10 or 11 am. I've got to get back to The Next Stage for rehearsals by 3 pm. But that doesn't mean the party is over.
